Description
- MQ Series Support Analyst/Admin with 2 + yrs MQ exp
- Leading investment bank, global messaging/middleware team
- Contract role - 6-12 Months
- Provide 7x24 global support (rotational on-call) for the messaging environments - MQ, WBI, GlobalShare, SWIFT, Gateway Services, Data Feeds, Exception handling
- Install, configure, administer and support Websphere MQ - MQSeries - and Websphere Message Broker - MQSI - software including the GlobalShare application components that run in this environment.
- Advise on architecture; design; performance and capacity of the middleware environments.
- Production deployment of components of the messaging environment including components of the GlobalShare application
- Develop, document and implement contingency plans
- Devise, document, implement and perform operational procedures
- Install, configure and administer Weblogic servers
- 2 + years Websphere MQ / MQSeries administration/support experience on Unix, preferably Sun Solaris
- Websphere Message Broker - MQSI - administration experience also required. As is 1 to 2 year of WebLogic administration experience. Some Solaris or Windows Administration & performance tuning experience also of benefit
- Strong written & verbal communication & analysis skills. You will be a team player, proficient in scripting in either Korn Shell or Perl or Java.
- A working knowledge of SWIFT Messages an advantage but not a pre-requisite
