As a Team Leader within the Retail division you will be responsible for managing, coaching and developing a team of up to 15 Service Consultants to ensure commitments are met. You will ensure that all business is conducted in a professional and effective manner to preserve and attract new business via Advisers, their Practices and staff. In this role you will manage and control workflow ensuring quality outcomes are delivered.

Responsibilities…

  • Manage workflow and the completion of work ensuring that effective outcomes are met during volume peaks and troughs,
  • Ensure team service standards are met or exceed,
  • Manage difficult or complex cases or issues and resolve to meet customer expectations whilst meeting business requirements,
  • Provide daily, weekly & monthly service reports, including statistics to Service Manager
  • Contribute to the assessment of process improvement and enhanced work practices including new technologies
  • Build and maintain relationships with Advisers, their Practices and office staff with other internal business units
  • Ensure that the calibre and level Retail Service talents and skills is available to the business meets business need and is kept at optimum levels
  • Provide coaching and regular performance related feedback to team members
  • Ensure that the team are kept informed of key company knowledge, events and updates
  • Take an active role by contributing to the Retail Service Leadership Team and assist them in the achievement of business unit goals
  • Actively manage employee retention strategies for the Retail Service business unit
  • Actively identify key and high potential talent and provide input into retention and development plans
  • Manage the Team costs ensuring the overall budget is met
  • Pro-actively manage unit costs and look for ways to reduce operating expenses.

To be successful in this role will have Tertiary qualifications in Finance or in a related discipline; you will be PS146 compliant, will have experience leading an administration team and will have experience working in client service within Financial Services/Insurance.
