Datawarehouse Analyst Programmer / Developer required by a leading global Investment Banking & Financial Services firm, within its Equities Trading & Stockbroking IT group. The organisation is currently undertaking a number of new business critical projects designed to significantly enhance their existing limited Data-warehouse capability & build a brand new management reporting ssuite using multi-dimensional datawarehouse technology. Therefore the suitable candidate MUST have prior experience building/significantly enhancing /developing Data Warehouses & Business Intelligence / Management Reporting solutions using a large RDBMS - Sybase or SQL Server. Candidates MUST have extensive experience with dataware/reporting tools - ideally Business Objects or Microstrategy or Microsoft SSIS/DTS or Cognos. Part of the project/challenge will also include the migration of a number of legacy applications across to the new technology.

It is essential that candidates can demonstrate -

Data Warehouses and Datamart design experience
Data modelling, Data and Database design experience
Strong analysis and application architecture experience
Expert SQL &/or Transact SQL experience
Software development experience
Strong attention to detail.
Structured approach to testing.

Required Technical Skills & Experience -

MS SQL Server 2005 &/or Sybase, ASE/IQ or Oracle
Windows or Unix environment
C#.NET, VB or Java exposure of benefit
Experience with integration technology ie. WebMethods or MS Integration Services also desirable
Control-M or Autosys also desirable

Ideally candidates will also have

Experience with business intelligence / management reporting technologies, e.g. Microsoft SSIS/DTS, MicroStrategy or Business Objects
Experience in Financial Services, Funds, Investment Banking &/or Equity Markets highly desirable
