Java J2EE Java Developer/Analyst Programmers with Struts / J2EE Web Frameworks experience. Global leading financial services requires top class Java J2EE talent with 3-10 years commercial Java experience building complex, structured OO systems. We require candidates with experience building systems using Struts /Web frameworks & utilising open-source tools - Hibernate, Spring, Eclipse, Struts, Maven , JUnit etc & Java IDE's. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates interested in entering the financial services/banking sector who aspire to work with Australia's finest Java talent, building bleeding edge Java solutions for Funds Management, Managed Funds, Share Trading, Insurance & Superannuation systems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Participating in functional and technical design workshops
- Translating functional requirements into a detailed architecture and design
- Contribute to the detailed estimation of development work
- Perform or participate in regular code reviews to ensure the high quality of code delivered
- Contributing new ideas to improve the functioning of the development team
General Technical requirements (at least two of the following): -
- Exceptional Java J2EE programming and design skills with experience working on either
- Core Java J2EE development skills with experience building on either server side Java or J2EE or Struts / Web Frameworks systems
- Experience working with Enterprise Java, J2EE - Servlet , JSP, JDBC, EJB - and Java design patterns
- Knowledge of Web technologies - JSP, JSF, HTML, CSS , JavaScript, AJAX
- Exposure to open-source frameworks and libraries such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, Apache Tomcat , Eclipse etc
- Struts experience with J2EE Web frameworks of particular interest
- Experience with XML and XSLT technologies
- Experience with JBOSS or BEA Weblogic, Websphere or Tomcat application servers
- Proficient in using UML in analysis and design
- Strong relational database experience - Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server or other
- Good development knowledge on Linux/UNIX
- Exposure to continuous build and iterative development desirable - Ant, Maven, others
- Experience in formal development methodologies - Agile, FDD, Waterfall or other, change management and version control - CVS, Subversion, other
