Our client, a respected and interesting organisation located in Kensington, is looking for an all round Assistant Accountant to take on a Finance Officer role. This position will offer diversity, job satisfaction and will be a challenging and rewarding role. Mainly concentrating on budgeting and financial modelling, the successful candidate will be using Peoplesoft and will assist in implementing MYOB for reporting.
The main duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Prepare budgets
- Maintaining General Ledger
- Completion of BAS
- Financial modelling
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Creating purchase orders
- Reconciliations
- Track actuals against budget
- Manual processing - writing cheques
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication skills - to deal with management
- Be self motivated
- Ability to think on their feet
- Experience in budgeting, modelling and general assistant accountant duties
- Peoplesoft or MYOB experience preferred
