This investment bank is seeking to develop greater value from the strategic sourcing activity within their business. This is an exciting time for a Category Manager to come on board and play a critical position in delivering significant cost savings and process efficiencies.
As the Category Manager you will work as part of a consulting team to deliver significant
value across the full range of direct and indirect expenditure streams. You will be responsible for analysis and identification of categories to drive reduced costs, improve processes, implement new contracts and preferred agreements. A key component of the position will be developing and maintaining vendor relationships including management and reporting of Key Performance Indicators, benefits tracking and leakage.
Drawing on your significant experience in Procurement and Sourcing, ideally you will have end to end category management exposure. A natural tendency to drive change and continuous improvement initiatives while managing critical relationships internally and with vendors will ensure your success in this position. Previous consulting experience with a tier 1 or tier 2 firm would be a distinct advantage.
