Technical Test Analyst /Tester with automation experience . Financial Markets trading systems area of this leading global investment banking & financial services firm requires an experienced Technical Test Analyst - contract or perm hire. We require a highly technical tester, possibly an ex Developer/Software Engineer who likes to delve into the technical detail of systems & the way they hang together, looking at the way systems are built/coded & how they are broken/break fix when being tested - we need a Tester motivated by finding the bugs. The Technical Tester must have experience with automation & have the ability to script in SQL, Ruby etc.
It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience:
- Some formal software testing experience, including developing test scripts and test execution
- Prior experience of Testing in an Agile/Iterative methodologies - Agile/Scrum etc & Unified Processes of real benefit
- Good collaborative skills with special focus on quality and business value
- Prior hands on experience with Test Management Tools like Quality Centre and
- Functional/Performance/Automated Testing Tools like QTP / Load Runner a big plus
- Experience conducting ongoing post mortems of testing done in previous iteration and planning for the testing to be carried out in the following iteration while executing testing during the current iteration
- Applying technical and business knowledge to conduct test cycle and reporting of testing results
- Ensuring that detailed test scripts are developed, covering business requirements both functionally and technically
- Interacting with other technology areas and identifying appropriate solutions
- Experience in a large complex financial markets, financial services or significant Microsoft blue-chip systems development enviornment - C# .Net Visual Studio SQL Server techs
- Experience developing/running basic scripts - Windows &/or SQL
