Our client is the one of the leading top tier construction firm in Australia and they are looking for the right project engineer to join there team. With Multi Billion dollar contracts currently being undertaken this sort of role will not be found anywhere else in Australia.
With the expansion of infrastructure projects within the state it has become apparent that a new “heavy hitter” is needed to lead a fresh bid team for a multi billion infrastructure project due to start at the end of 2009. You will be taking on an exceptional group of highly talented, professional engineers and Project managers. You will be required to oversee all operations pertaining to this project for the company in QLD and make sure everything runs smoothly and profitably.
Your duties will include: Overseeing the whole projects status and profitability; work closely with the operations manager to address any problems that arise from the clients prospective; be aware of all the progress of all aspects project in tender and construction phase and be able to report upwards the status of your project; be able to think outside the box when handling problems that do arise; Be able to build on an already existing “gun team”; Be a strong representative for the company.
You will come from a production driven background and be able to back your 15+ years experience with tertiary qualifications. Working on multi million dollar projects (Major Highways / roads / tunnels) in the past is a must as well as being able to handle pressure well. Have previous experience as a Construction Manager and or Bid Manger in top tier companies.
