Java J2EE Technical Lead / Senior Developer - Financial Services, Investment Banking, Retail Banking. Asset Finance & Leasing IT group within this leading global financial services firm require hands-on Java J2EE Technical Lead/Team Leader to lead technical team (x 6 Developers) responsible for both of Java Struts web based systems. The Java Team Leader will have retained a strong technical focus and strong Java programming & design skills.
Key Responsibilities -- Leading & mentoring a team of developers (3-7 Java J2EE Developers)
- Reporting on IT deliverables and stakeholder management
- Ensuring compliance with project methodology
- Ownership and management of system architecture and process improvement decisions
- Identify shortcomings in business processes and provide innovative solutions
Required Skills Experience -
- Strong Java J2EE skills including Struts & Spring / web frameworks & ideally Web Services
- Previous experience in a team lead capacity with a background in Java Development
- Strong creative approach to analysis & design and problem solving
- Solid relational database experience - preferably Sybase, SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience in all phases of systems development, especially the design and delivery of large scale web applications
- Sound leadership and strong people management skills
- Enjoy a fast-paced team environment and will thrive on new opportunities and dealing with challenges
Demonstrate a professional approach in your dealings, forging strong relationships at all levels across both technical and business areas
