This engineering practice is a privately owned operator with specialities across the infrastructure, buildings, water, environmental and industrial sectors. They have built a strong brand in the marketplace and are seemingly well placed to brave the current fluctuations in work books and conditions.
In recent times there has been a focus toward strategic and sustainable growth. It would make sense that a major component of this growth would be built around the infrastructure market sectors – roads, highways, urban design and bridges – and in keeping with this expected development an opportunity exists for a leader to take control of this business.
The key areas would be included in the following:
- Staff management and mentoring across multiple disciplines
- Business development for your group and cross pollination of other business units
- Profit targets and forecasting
- Attending meetings with major clients to build and maintain existing relationships
- Technical direction and a reputation for excellence in either roads/highways or bridge engineering
This is a serious opportunity in the senior management sphere. While still a technical leadership position, this role that will challenge in a way that will hopefully bring the best in the successful candidate.
